PHOENIX — Currently, there are more than 10,000 children in foster care across the state, according to recent data from the Arizona Department of Child Safety.
And many of those kids rely on social workers.
But some of those kids are now able to rely on someone else: a 5-year-old Valley boy who was adopted.
“When I was a baby, I had a little phone to play with for a baby,” said 5-year-old Eduardo from Phoenix.
Toys are something that mean a lot to him.
“…and I had a little pumpkin for me to play with,” he said.
When Eduardo was just 3-and-a-half years old, he came up with a special idea.
“I was collecting my Batman toys and moved on to Transformers,” he said.
But Eduardo’s mom said they weren’t all for him.
