A name that has been part of the fabric of Metro Detroit's diner and car culture for more than 70 years will have a new address next month, but aims to keep the same speedy service and classic style.
Hunter House Hamburgers is moving from its original location at 35075 Woodward south about one mile and to the east side of the avenue to 33900 Woodward. The site is the former home of a KFC.
The last day at the original location, which opened in 1952, will be Oct. 31 and the new location is expected to open Nov. 1. Co-owner Kelly Cobb says there should be no interruption of service during the construction and transition, according to a media alert.
