OMAHA, Neb. —
The City of Omaha will close the full intersection of 38th and Farnam Street starting Monday for about a month. In addition, Farnam Street will be closed in both directions between 37th Street and 38th Avenue.
Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes and use parking garages, as there will be no street parking during this time.
This is all part of the greater Omaha streetcar project. The city says the intersection closure in Blackstone is a shortened timeline. Without a full closure, it was estimated the work would have taken over a month.
The city expects all construction in Blackstone and Midtown to be wrapped up by the end of the year.
