OMAHA, Neb. —

Omaha teen Millie Knudson is heading to a national swim camp at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs this week, marking a significant step toward her Olympic dreams.

The 14-year-old freshman recently competed at the sectionals swim meet in Columbia, Missouri, where she showcased her talent in the women's 50-meter freestyle, her best event.

Millie said, "Because it's really fast, it's just like, down. It's real exhilarating for sure."

Her fastest time of 25.9 seconds is the quickest recorded in her age group across the country, setting her on a path toward her ultimate goal.

"I'd say the big goal is to make it to the Olympics by just building off my times, trying to get faster," Millie said.
