Pizza Hut's UK restaurants have been plunged into administration, putting 68 of their locations at risk of closure.

FTI Consulting was put in as administrator of the restaurant chain on Monday, The Sun reports .

However, the organisation's global owner, Yum! Brands, struck a deal almost immediately as part of a pre-pack administration, which could save 64 of the locations.

A pre-pack administration is where the sale of a business or its assets is agreed before the administration process begins.

Yet, 741 jobs are still at risk, as 68 restaurants were not part of the rescue deal.
