What’s there to do in October besides visiting pumpkin patches and picking out the perfect costume? In 1984, reporter Lin Wright found some not-so-scary alternatives.
For dog lovers, Wright cuddled with puppies for National Adopt a Dog Month. He also suggested a pizza with all your favorite toppings to celebrate National Pizza Month.
Wright said he was going to “take my family to Russia, England, France, Yugoslavia, Switzerland, and Canada for only about $10” in celebration of National Stamp Collecting Month.
