EastEnders fans said ‘it’s been ages’ as they took to social media to question where a ‘missing’ fan favourite character has been.

It’s been a hectic period on the BBC soap amid a hard-hitting storyline involving troubled teenager Joel Marshall, played by Max Murrary.

Last week saw the teenager arrested after punching his dad Ross Marshall’s girlfriend Vicki Fowler , proceeding to record her struggling to get off the floor.

Despite entering hiding in Tommy Moon’s garage, Ross discovered the truth and reported the incident to the police, who promptly arrested Joel.

Eventually learning that his dad betrayed him, Joel told police officers that he wants nothing to do with his dad moving forward.
