Police have arrested a man after a staff member was allegedly raped at a GP practice in Fife . ‌

Officers were called to Kinghorn Medical Practice following reports of a serious sexual assault at around 2.10pm on May 26. ‌

An investigation was quickly launched and detectives have confirmed that a 44-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. ‌

He is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court at a later date.

NHS Fife confirmed to the Record that they were made aware of the incident against an employee.
