IT Minister OSD denies ‘peshi’ fraud link in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Oct 20: The Office of Special Duty (OSD) to Telangana IT Minister Sridhar Babu denied any link to a reported fraud that allegedly used the minister’s peshi name to promise IT project approvals and collect Rs 1.77 crore.

The OSD issued a statement on Monday evening and said social media claims of a fresh scam are incorrect. He clarified that the incident did not happen now, but took place nearly four months ago, and is already under police investigation.

According to the OSD , the case was registered at Saifabad Police Station on June 3 this year. He said the complaint was filed
