A California company has updated a recall to include more than 4 million pounds of corn dogs and turkey on a stick products.
Foster Poultry Farms on Oct. 4 recalled the corn dogs because they may be contaminated with wood embedded in the batter. The initial recall included 3,961,138 pounds. An update on Oct. 6 included turkey on a stick products.
The latest recall on Oct. 17 increased the amount by 118,098 pounds of “Whole Grain Chicken Corn Dog Whole Grain Batter Wrapped Chicken Franks on a Stick Lower Fat” products with a use-by date of Aug. 7, 2026, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The company has reported consumer complaints including six people who were injured when eating the products.
