MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Madera County's board of Supervisors will consider becoming a "Second Amendment Sanctuary" county on Tuesday. The move comes after Gov. Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 1127 earlier this month, which bans the sales of Glock guns in California.
The bill was created by Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel and prohibits licensed firearms dealers from selling guns that can be "easily converted by hand or with common household tools" into a machine gun. Glock guns are not specifically mentioned in the legislation, but it does fall into that category of firearms.
