Jeremiah Andre Reed’s potential sentence for stabbing a buddy in the neck could land him in prison for an indeterminate term.
More than three years after he was convicted of attempted murder and breaching probation for possessing weapons, Reed, 48, was back in the Superior Court of Justice Monday as the Crown began its application for a dangerous offender or long-term offender designation.
Reed was convicted by Justice Thomas Heeney in April 2022 following a trial in which his victim, Grant Douglas, a hardened and street-savvy Londoner, gave harrowing testimony about the surprise attack by him along Adelaide Street on June 20, 2020, while they were planning to scrap copper.
The guilty verdict prompted assistant Crown attorney Meredith Gardiner to alert the court that the prosecution
