CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — State officials visited Prince Gallitzin State Park Monday to highlight the park's new solar arrays and electric vehicle (EV) chargers, which are part of efforts to reach net zero emissions.

The State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) announced that since May, Pennsylvania has added enough solar energy to power more than 370,000 homes, surpassing the energy needs of every home in Blair and Cambria County.

"This is a big deal especially at a time when energy demand is increasing and costs are rising," Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) Secretary Jessica Shirley said.
