MINOT, ND (KXNET) — A Minot woman is facing murder charges following a deadly shooting that occurred over the weekend in the city’s southeast neighborhood.

Minot police responded to reports of gunfire at a residence along 39th Avenue Southeast shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday. Officers arrived to find a 38-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

On Sunday, police identified and arrested Rachael Kathryn Foster in connection with the shooting. Foster appeared in Ward County Court on Monday, where she was formally charged with murder and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Her next court appearance is scheduled for late November.
