BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — A man from Standing Rock is now facing jail time after he was arrested for what investigators say involved sexual abuse of a woman.

Daniel Twinn appeared in federal court in Bismarck this afternoon. He's facing four charges, including aggravated sexual abuse by force.

Court documents obtained by KX News say the incident happened in February of this year. Investigators say Twinn forced a woman to perform sexual acts, during which she was seriously injured.

Twinn is also accused of strangling and suffocating the woman.

He is currently being held in the Burleigh Morton County Jail and is facing the following charges: • Aggravated Sexual Abuse by Force • Assault Resulting in Substantial Bodily Injury to Intimate Partner • Assault with a Dangerous Weapon • Ass
