INDIANAPOLIS — An arrested suspect has escaped from Marion County Community Corrections in Indianapolis Tuesday.
IMPD reported the man escaped in the late morning of Tuesday, Oct. 21. At 4 p.m., a spokesperson for the Marion County Sheriff's Office confirmed he had been recaptured.
The Marion County Sheriff's Office identified the escaped prisoner as 35-year-old Diontae Green.
Police say Green jumped out of a transport vehicle and ran away, last seen running north from the area around the Criminal Justice Campus. Green was in the custody of the community corrections department, not the sheriff's office, when he made his escape.
Green is listed at 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. Police say Green was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans when he escaped, along with leg shac
