LUBBOCK, Texas -- AgTexas Farm Credit Services will be presenting checks for $2,000 scholarships to five local FFA chapters after they qualified for competition at the FFA National Convention.

The first school to be presented with their check this week was Talkington School for Young Women Leaders, which was honored on Tuesday. The next school on the list is Frenship High School, with their ceremony taking place at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Finally, Abernathy High School will be recognized for their efforts on Friday. Lubbock-Cooper High School and Lubbock-Cooper Liberty High School were previously gifted their checks on October 14.
