ATLANTA — Getting from point A to point B in Atlanta can take some time, as can going from rendering to reality. Atlanta City Councilman Michael Julian Bond call the stretch of the city between Downtown and Midtown an open road to economic success. Plans call for the Stitch project to connect the area with new greenspace, affordable housing and public spaces over the Downtown Connector.

"You're pouring gasoline on Atlanta's economic fire with this project," Bond said. "It pulls from funding of other projects that have been completed and have leftover funds, so this is not going to cost taxpayers any additional money."
