The NFL upheld the one-game suspension of Denver Broncos linebacker Dre Greenlaw, league spokesman Michael Signora announced Tuesday.
The league issued the suspension on Monday in response to Greenlaw's postgame actions toward referee Brad Allen after the Broncos converted a game-winning field goal to defeat the New York Giants 33-32.
In its ruling, the league said Greenlaw chased after Allen "and verbally threatened him as he tried to leave the field."
Greenlaw, who unsuccessfully appealed the suspension, will miss the entire week of practice and Sunday's home game against the Dallas Cowboys. He will forfeit his game check of $192,778.
