DENVER (KNWA/KFTA) — Former Razorback and current Denver Broncos linebacker Dre Greenlaw has been suspended one game by the NFL after he violated league policy.
Following a wild and historic 33-32 comeback victory for the Broncos over the New York Giants, Greenlaw chased referee Brad Allen and verbally threatened him as he tried to leave the field, league officials said on Monday.
The NFL said Greenlaw violated Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1(b), which prohibits "the use of abusive, threatening or insulting language or gestures to opponents, teammates, officials, or representatives of the League."
Greenlaw has three days to appeal his suspension under the NFL's collective bargaining agreement.
The former Razorback, who spent four years in Fayetteville, played for the San Francisco 49ers
