What is fog?
Simply put, fog is a cloud that meets the ground. It forms when tiny water droplets condense close to the surface, making it hard to see more than a few hundred feet ahead.
That condensation happens when the air cools to its dew point — the temperature where the air becomes completely saturated with moisture. Once that happens, water vapor turns into visible droplets, and fog forms.
