A man already in East Baton Rouge Parish prison from a previous arrest has been charged with second -murder in connection with an shooting that happened in June.
Henry Ray Thomas, 55, was arrested Tuesday in the shooting death of Huey Sonnier on June 18, in the 2700 block of Calumet Street, Baton Rouge Police said.
Thomas, who was in jail on a charge not related to the shooting, now faces additional counts of second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon, police said.
Thomas has an extensive criminal history, police said.
