HENDERSON, Ky. (WEVV) — Authorities have captured a prisoner who escaped from the Henderson County Jail on Tuesday.

As we reported, officials said Timothy Oliver fled the jail on Tuesday around noon, prompting a large law enforcement response and a manhunt in the area.

Authorities release more details on search for escaped Henderson inmate

On Wednesday, just before 11 a.m., authorities said they captured Oliver.

Oliver was captured in an area of Reed, Kentucky, according to officials with the Kentucky State Police.

KSP says the Henderson County Sheriff's Office and Henderson Police Department assisted in the arrest.

At the time of his escape, Oliver had been serving out a sentence for burglary following his arrest in 2024 .
