Newport's largest privately owned estate, Seaview Terrace, is back on the market with a $28.5 million price tag.

The famous Gilded Age mansion, whose exterior was used in the gothic soap opera "Dark Shadows," spans 43,772 square feet and is situated on nearly eight acres of land.

A 6,000-square-foot gatehouse is also located on site, according to the real estate listing .
