ALEXANDRIA — Area youngsters took advantage of MEA on Friday by attending an Oktoberfest celebration designed just for them.
Carlos Creek Winery offered Kid-toberfest from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, giving attendees a chance to take part in a wide variety of activities.
There was face painting, a root beer stein holding contest, a root beer stein relay, a pumpkin ring toss, a Halloween costume contest, hay wagon rides and the Ninja Anywhere Challenge.
The Rakow Ranch petting zoo was also on hand, giving the kids an opportunity to interact with a number of different animals, including rabbits, goats and chickens.
Hot apple cider was provided by Country Blossom Farm, and food was offered by Stoke's, the Sizzle Food Truck and Fruity Bowls.
