PARKERS PRAIRIE — A potent ground game was on full display from Parkers Prairie in its Section 6A playoff opener.
The second-seeded Panthers ran for 487 total yards of offense as they coasted to a 51-16 victory over No. 7 Nevis on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at Panthers Stadium. Additionally, the defense held the Tigers to only 112 total yards and only a 1-of-11 on third-down conversion attempts.
Parkers Prairie put up the first 51 points of the game en route to its seventh consecutive victory dating back to Sept. 12, despite losing three fumbles in the game. However, the Panthers forced three turnovers, with Isaac Ruckheim tallying one of the team’s two fumble recoveries and Trevor Rounds returning an interception for a touchdown.
Rounds ended the contest with two total touchdowns, also adding th
