ACCORD, N.Y. — Samantha Schneller scored four goals and had one assist to lead Rondout Valley High’s field hockey team to a 9-0 win over Onteora on Tuesday, Oct. 21 to advance to the Mid-Hudson Athletic League (MHAL) championship game.
The MHAL championship game will pit the Ganders (13-1) against Kingston (9-4) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 5:30 p.m. at Rondout Valley.
Kingston beat Pine Plains 3-0 at Dietz Stadium in the other MHAL semifinal game on Tuesday. No details were available.
The Tigers lost to Rondout Valley 2-0 on Sept. 25 in a game played at Dietz Stadium.
Jasmine McNeil added a pair of goals in Rondout Valley’s win over Onteora. Teammates Madison Shanley, Ella Schoonmaker and Margaux McMillan also scored goals for the Ganders.
