HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) - A portion of Highway 73 in Huntersville was closed on Wednesday afternoon after a serious vehicle crash, according to the Huntersville Fire Department.

Huntersville fire said on Wednesday, Oct. 22, around 2 p.m., they responded with the Davidson Fire Department for a serious crash on Hwy. 73, which was closed between Poplar Tent Road and Summers Walk Boulevard.

Medic said they responded to the vehicle crash and one person was pronounced dead while another person was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

At the time of this writing, the cause of the vehicle crash or if anyone was arrested was not immediately released.
