SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie said the city is prepared should the Trump administration deploy the National Guard or immigration enforcement agents to the city. In public remarks made Wednesday following news that over 100 federal agents were being deployed to the San Francisco Bay Area, Lurie said he had signed an executive directive preparing for possible federal deployment.
"For the last 10 months, we have been taking steps to prepare for this kind of escalation here in San Francisco," Lurie said. "And I want to be clear: We are prepared."
