OKOBOJI, Iowa (KCAU) — A lakeside lab on Lake Okoboji is about to get a $6 million update. The lab offers science classes and research opportunities for in-state university students.
The Iowa Lakeside Lab on the Iowa Great Lakes is set to get a big expansion that's been eight years in the making.
The Iowa Lakeside Lab has been a fixture in the Iowa Great Lakes since 1909. The lab sits on the shores of West Lake and is owned by the state of Iowa and operated through the Board of Regents.
The three state universities in Iowa all provide funding for the lab.
