LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A scooter rider was hospitalized following a crash in the east Las Vegas valley on Wednesday.

It happened shortly before 6 p.m. in the 4800 block of Boulder Highway near Flamingo Road.

Las Vegas Metro police told 8 News Now that a vehicle collided with the scooter rider.

The rider was later taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Roads in the area were closed as police continued their investigation on Wednesday night.
