A. 2.2-magnitude earthquake shook just north of Wayne County, in Lake Ontario, on Wednesday night.

The earthquake hit around 11:19 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22 and 12 miles north of Pultneyville, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The earthquake occurred at a depth of roughly 7.9 kilometers beneath the surface.

Rochester is roughly 27 miles southwest of the site, according to USGS.
