AASU on Zubeen Garg case: “If BJP rules both Delhi and Dispur, why is the double engine govt protesting on the streets?”

All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) President Utpal Sharma has issued a strong statement demanding justice for late musical icon Zubeen Garg, while sharply criticising the ruling BJP government for what he termed as political doublespeak.

Sharma said it has already been a month since the untimely demise of the “beloved artist of our hearts,” yet the people of Assam are still waiting for justice. “Millions of admirers are living each day in pain — for them, justice must prevail,” he said, asserting that the probe into Garg’s death must be transparent and uncompromising.
