For many, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a haunted, fictional tale following a headless horseman and a complex love story.
But for Eric Otto, the artistic director and head of curriculum for Toledo Ballet, this story hits close to home. The teacher grew up in Westchester County, N.Y. which is only a stone’s throw away from where Sleepy Hollow takes place.
Otto is bringing this classic tale to the Toledo Ballet’s season opening for the second year in a row where guests will experience the story of the superstitious schoolteacher Ichabod Crane through his choreography, the costumes, and sets.
