JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — This weekend, the sky over Jacksonville Beach will roar to life as several skilled pilots will perform thrilling aerial stunts at the Sea and Sky Air Show — a high-octane, free event headlined by the U.S. Navy's elite flight squadron, the Blue Angels .

As of Thursday morning, the Blue Angels are still scheduled to perform at the event, a spokesperson for the City of Jacksonville's Office of Sports and Entertainment told First Coast News. However, the Blue Angels' participation in the show is subject to change pending the status of the government shutdown.

The event is expected to draw tens of thousands of visitors, as it will feature captivating air performances, vendors, food trucks, and a host of other attractions and displays.
