The long-standing rivalry between Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City resumes tonight with the first Devon derby of the season at St James Park tonight.

It is the 72nd time the teams will have played each other in the Football League, and the Pilgrims have a record of 31 wins, 20 draws and 20 defeats from the previous encounters.

Argyle enter the match in 21st position in League One after picking up only one point from back-to-back games at Home Park, the first being a 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic and the other a 2-1 defeat by AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

However, Tom Cleverley's side have won their last two away matches, beating Luton 3-2 at Kenilworth Road on September 13 and then winning 4-0 at Burton Albion a fortnight later.
