U.S. 50 and its associated ramps in Jefferson City are now open after bridge rehabilitation work was finished ahead of schedule, according to a Thursday news release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.
According to the release, the bridge work over Vetter Lane was completed on Wednesday. The project was originally expected to continue through November.
In September, U.S. 50 over Vetter Lane was narrowed to one lane in each direction for the rehabilitation project. Since then, crews replaced seals on the bridge joints, applied a protective coating to the substructure, and repaired and overlaid the bridge deck, according to MoDOT.
