The Adams County Sheriff’s Office says deputies have captured Lee Raymond Clay, who had been on the run since July 7, 2023 and was wanted on multiple felony warrants.
According to ACSO, deputies went to 95 Steam Plant Road around 10:53 a.m. Thursday, October 23, to serve Clay with an indictment for possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and an affidavit for aggravated domestic violence. When deputies arrived, Clay fled on foot from a home at 95A Steam Plant Road, ignoring commands to stop.
Clay ran into a wooded area, down a steep embankment, and into a creek bed in an attempt to escape. Deputies set a perimeter and launched a coordinated search. About 30 minutes later, at 11:32 a.m., Clay was located and tased twice as he continued to resist, then taken into custody without further
