Keller City Council approved a change order for the Mount Gilead and Roanoke Road hike and bike trail connector at a regular meeting Oct. 21.

The change order amends a contract with Decatur-based Tejas Cutters LLC by adding $136,075.85, according to city documents .

What’s new

The end of Mt. Gilead’s trail will connect to Overton Ridge Park with a 750-foot-long, 6-foot-wide sidewalk, according to city documents. The addition will be funded through the Parks Capital Improvement Project fund with funding provided by the Keller Development Corporation fund .

Rachel Reynolds, Keller’s communication and public engagement manager, said the total cost of the project is now $703,045.07. She said it’s estimated for completion in June 2026.
