NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Around 9:15 a.m. on Oct. 21, 2014, New Orleans police arrived at a vacant lot in the Treme neighborhood where they found a woman's body. Eleven years later, the murder remains unsolved. It's the latest case to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
The crime scene was at the corner of North Roman and St. Ann streets. Police identified the victim as 30-year-old Natalie Simsick. She'd been shot to death.
The following January, police announced that they were searching for a woman named April Davis. Police called her a 'Person of Interest' in the case. They said she was not wanted to face charges but may have information about what happened.
Police never had the opportunity to interview Davis.
On Sept. 11, 2015, police were called to a crime scene near the corner of North Derb
