LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Nevada Democratic Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen are pushing against the Trump administration’s plan to import beef from Argentina, as Nevada cattlemen also oppose the plan.

As the price of a pound of ground beef rises, the White House plans to import more Argentinian beef to lower prices for consumers. The average price on Tuesday was a record $6.32, according to the Associated Press. Beef prices rose dramatically, along with other groceries, amid supply chain shortages from the COVID pandemic.
