MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) - A 40-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested for his 3rd OWI after a very short and failed attempt at fleeing police officers early Thursday morning.

The Madison Police Department reported that an officer conducted a stop around 1:25 a.m. on a vehicle that was driving too fast, and the driver, later identified as 40-year-old Barry Harrison, refused to comply with the officer.

Harrison's behavior led additional police and a Sergeant to respond; however, he continuously refused to exit the vehicle, prompting officers to use tire deflation devices in a preemptive attempt to stop him from driving off.

Harrison reportedly tried it anyway as officers attempted to speak with him, but police said he was 'unable to get very far as all four of his tires were deflated.'
