FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - A 'significant drug trafficker' from southeastern Wisconsin was arrested during an I-41 traffic stop where deputies seized nearly two pounds of meth.

The incident began on August 7 when a deputy with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office pulled a vehicle over on I-41 south for a moving violation. The driver was reportedly on parole for armed robbery and possession with intent to deliver heroin and had roughly $2,700 in cash on him.

However, with no other probable cause, the driver was released. But with I-41 being known as a common drug trafficking route between Milwaukee and northeastern Wisconsin by authorities, deputies continued to investigate any further illegal behavior.
