BOSSIER CITY, La. — A local landmark for Western wear, Topp's Western World, is closing its doors after 55 years of serving the community. The store has long been a go-to destination for cowboy boots, hats, and saddles for generations of customers.
The family that owns the business called the closure the end of an era as they move toward retirement. A retirement sale is scheduled to begin on Thursday.
While the retail store will cease operations, the family plans to continue the business's trailer sales and repair services.
Topp's Western World has been a staple in Bossier City, and customers are currently visiting the store to make final purchases and share memories before the doors close permanently.
