The HSE has been accused of breaching a deal on staffing that led to industrial action being averted earlier this year.

Health unions have triggered an early review of the provisions of the agreement that will take place at talks at the Workplace Relations ­Commission (WRC) today.

The deal that was brokered in March ended the threat of a work-to-rule by 80,000 workers.

A spokesperson at the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) said it believes the HSE is in breach of the agreement when it comes to staffing.
