PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A Portland man who stabbed a MAX train passenger to death in 2024 has been committed to the Oregon State Hospital.
Shondel Lamar Larkin was found guilty except of insanity in the unprovoked killing of Michael Brady in March 2024.
Police say Larkin had a knife and blood on his clothes when he was arrested on the train at the 82nd Avenue Transit Center.
Surveillance video showed Larkin repeatedly stabbing Brady without warning, according to court documents.
Larkin told investigators he believed “voices” told him Brady was going to hurt him.
FOX 12 spoke with Brady’s stepson before the sentencing hearing on Thursday.
“It’s a little strange in the sense that it’s been so long since it happened. It feels like I put it away. You never really get over it,” said Marco
