On Friday at 1:22 a.m. the National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory valid from Saturday 8 p.m. until Monday 2 a.m. for East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades.

The weather service states, “Snow expected Above 4500 feet. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.”

“Moderate snowfall with periods of heavy snowfall rates will combine with low visibility to create very difficult driving conditions. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches,” comments the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling.”
