BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) - The MHA Nation Emergency Operations Center is urging tribal members to complete a short survey that will help shape the tribe’s updated Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The plan, approved by FEMA, is designed to guide how the tribe prepares for and responds to emergencies such as wildfires, flooding, severe storms, extreme temperatures, and active threats. It also helps secure federal funding for disaster mitigation efforts.
The survey takes less than three minutes to complete and is both voluntary and confidential. Despite having more than 12,000 enrolled members over the age of 18, fewer than 40 responses have been submitted since the survey launched in April.
The survey is open to all households and agencies involved in emergency services and critical infrastructure. Tr
