A magnitude 2.2 earthquake was reported in Marion, North Carolina on Friday.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake hit at 1:20 a.m. about 2 miles north-northwest of Marion. It had a depth of 6.1 miles.
Marion is 30 miles from Asheville.
