MERIDEN, CT (WFSB) – When a Connecticut Department of Transportation worker was killed last year, his family demanded accountability.
Friday, Denise Lucibello, the 56-year-old driver who pleaded guilty to striking and killing 26-year-old Andrew DiDomenico of Meriden, is in Meriden Superior Court for her sentencing on Friday.
DiDomenico’s death shocked the state when it happened in June 2024.
He went to work on an Interstate 91 on-ramp in Wallingford and didn’t come home.
Lucibello plead guilty in August to second-degree manslaughter and driving under the influence.
The DiDomenico family said it believes she’ll spend 5 years in prison, with her attorney potentially arguing for less time.
